All versions of combs within each category or model type have subtle or strong differences, tine-count is approximated. Sizes as with many things, isn't the whole story. Tine size has nothing to do with hair type or thickness of person's hair, it is irrelevant.

Next it is recommended that you re-line-up hairs and remove dead hairs and proteinize with a Larger-toothed 6-8 TPI model,

Be sure to smooth ones own natural oils and proteinize through with a Medium-toothed 6-8 TPI model

Finally it is recommended that you finish with a Wide-toothed 4-5 TPI model for protein.
